Green lentils soup
This soup is so amazingly easy to make and yet so delicious and nutritious!
Ingredients:
2 chopped onions
2 grated carrots
4 chopped celery stalks
2 yams cut into small cubes
5 chopped garlic cloves
500 grams green lentils – washed
Spices: cumin, curcumin, pepper, salt
Preparation:
worm a big pot on the stove, the biggest you have. Put the chopped onions and start frying them on small flame, until they become caramelised.
Start adding gradually all the ingredients one by one accordingly to the written order.
Keep on stirring all the time so it won’t stick.
add water until the pot is full and spices except salt, boil the mixture and reduce the flame again to the smallest. cover the pan and cook for an hour. add salt and close the stove.
